When the first message of Christian Science came to me, I was healed of a disease which my familiarity with hospital life told me was incurable, and that must eventually lead me into an insane asylum if I did not pass out during the conflict. At the time referred to I became convinced that God made everything that was made, "and, behold, it was very good." I had read this many times before in the Bible, but Science brought me the light of spiritual understanding, and I was healed from that hour of my most dreaded foe. In less than one week, through the reading of the Bible in the light of the truth which had come to me, I was enabled to lay aside the glasses I had worn for ten years, though I had been ordered never to do without them. From that time to this, over seven years, I have had many beautiful experiences, for which I wish to express my deep gratitude.

It gives me great pleasure to testify to the permanency of my healing. I have never had any symptoms of a return of the disease above referred to since my first healing, but on the contrary I have steadily gained in strength and the ability to do whatever my hand found to do, to say nothing of the greater peace and poise that have come into my life through this experience. I can honestly say I am a well woman, with no fear of any return of old ailments or of acquiring new ones, since we are assured that God heals all our diseases.

I am very thankful to God for Christian Science, for Life, Truth, and Love as demonstrated by our Master, and also grateful for Mrs. Eddy and the spiritual understanding of the Bible, as gained through her teachings.
