In July, 1910, I was taken very ill with blood-poisoning caused by the sting of an insect. The physician who treated me gave up all hope with regard to my life, and I myself thought I could not live long. At that time I was advised by acquaintances to turn to Christian Science, so I applied to a practitioner for treatment, and she immediately called upon me. When she arrived, I was lying in bed, motionless, unable to move any of my limbs. She at once began to treat me, and to everybody's surprise and to the joy of my family, the next day I was able to sit up in bed without assistance and to take nourishment without help. Treatment was continued, and was attended by such rapid progress that within a short time I recovered my health completely and was able to pay a visit to the practitioner. I was then able to resume my duties as a police constable, and I have worked ever since without experiencing any ill effects. As I remarked before, from a material standpoint I would have been beyond recovery, had it not been for Christian Science and the loving help given by the practitioner.
I shall be glad to testify to this at any time; and I wish to express my thankfulness to God for this deliverance, also my gratitude to Mrs. Eddy, through whom this healing truth has again been made known to the world.
Emil Kuhn, Schwabisch Gmünd, Germany.
