A feeling of deep gratitude prompts me to testify to the quick healing which I experienced in Christian Science. I had been suffering with abdominal complaint, and in September, 1911, it became worse. This made it necessary for me to go to a physician, who stated that there were two growths which would have to be removed. He sent me to another physician, who advised an immediate operation. To this I concented, though with a heavy heart, and notified my relatives.

It was then that my brother-in-law came to see me and told me of Christian Science, as he had seen wonderful healing performed through its agency in the case of his nine-year-old son. I immediately applied to a Christian Science practitioner, who most willingly granted me the opportunity for a talk on the subject. After this first explanation I became so convinced of the power of divine Love and Truth that I felt as if I had been all made over. Upon returning home I had a sense of joy such as I had never experienced before, and from that hour I have been a well woman, with more endurance in working than I have known for years. I wrote the physician that there was no longer any necessity for an operation, as I had been healed through Christian Science.

My sincere desire is that all people may come to the recognition of the Christ-healing and join in the glorious words of the psalmist: "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits." I also wish to give sincere thanks for our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who made known to us the truth which has taken the veil away from our eyes.
