Until a year and a half ago I never knew what it meant to be well. From early girlhood I suffered intensely, and continued to grow worse. Six and a half years ago this prolonged suffering took the form of epilepsy, and for five long, weary years I had attacks of this nature. During the intervals, I went to business, or tried to do so, but alas! right in the midst of my work, wherever I happened to be, I would be seized with a spasm, and before I could be taken home it would be necessary to call in a physician, who would administer an opiate hypodermically and give me other medicine. Then, sometimes after hours of unconsciousness, I would be sent home. This happened countless times, wherever I might be employed.
In February or March, 1911, I had an attack, but on that occasion my employer, fortunately for me, was a Christian Scientist, and upon my return to the office, he advised me to go to a practitioner for treatment. This I did, but without the slightest idea of what Christian Science was and with little hope that there was anything which would help me. In this, however, I was mistaken, for my healing was practically immediate. I steadily grew better, and I can conscientiously say that I am now perfectly well, and happier than I can possibly find words to tell.
Since my healing I have had demonstrations through my own understanding of the truth, both in my home and outside of it. My mother has been healed of a stomach disorder by reading the text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and of many other ills.
