It is over five years since I began to study Christian Science. At that time I was very unhappy. I did not take up the study for physical ills, although I needed this help. I thought I would first read the book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, to see what it taught, and have treatment later. I wanted peace of mind and harmony at once. I got the book and started to read; but as I had very bad eyes I could not see without my glasses. I tried to get along without them, but in vain. One day, however, after I had read Science and Health for about three weeks, I took the glasses off, and have never used them since.

I had a very bad stomach disorder, and was troubled with neuralgia and sore throat in the winters. I was always taking some kind of medicine, had it constantly on hand, and the last doctor said I would have to undergo an operation sooner or later. All these difficulties were surmounted in six weeks by reading Science and Health. I have witnessed the demonstration of the power of Love in my home in overcoming discordant conditions, and I find that I can forgive those who have wronged me. I have experienced quick physical and mental healing for myself and others, and since this experience I have had the benefit of class instruction. I am thankful to God, and grateful to our dear Leader for this wonderful truth which makes us free. I am also grateful to all who have helped me to know more of Truth's healing power.
