I would like to express my gratitude for some of the blessings which Christian Science has brought to me. It is such a help and comfort in the bringing up of children, and is so much easier than the old way, when they were entrusted to the care of doctors and nurses. If discord ever manifests itself in them, the understanding of Truth sustains both them and me, healing them and leaving me with a clearer realization of Truth's power and a firmer mental poise. My children have been sustained through an attack of whooping-cough, and healed of measles and other discords. Unlike former experiences when materia medica was employed, they were not confined to their beds and no outside help was necessary. They were left without any ill effects and went on with their school work harmoniously. One of my sons had a severe cough for four years, and though he has had a few attacks of it since we came into Science, they have been quickly relieved under Science treatment, whereas before it was continuous. We have had so much good from Christian Science that it would be a long story to try to tell it all.
Every day I have many proofs of the power of Truth. I can see that I am less sensitive and more charitable than I used to be. I seldom have a cold now, and when one does manifest itself it is quickly overcome. I appreciate the opportuanity of attending the church services, and the Wednesday evening meetings have been especially helpful. I enjoy and look forward to the coming of the Sentinel, with its weekly message of Truth and Love. The Bible, with our text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, is more valuable to me than any of my possessions. Words are indeed weak when I try to express my gratitude to our Leader for this wonderful truth which was revealed to her and which she has so lovingly shared with all who will but drink from this life-giving stream.—Mrs. W. J. Sheldon, Oak Park, Ill.
