A little over three years ago I was, to mortal sense, in a very serious condition. I had a bad cough with occasional hemorrhages, and had scarcely enough strength to keep at work; so when I sat down I did not care whether I ever got up again or not. The doctors pronounced my difficulty a lung trouble with heart complications, and as their medicine relieved me only temporarily, I was pretty much discouraged. About this time a Christian Scientist talked to me regarding myself, and said I could be healed; that many had been healed by reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, a copy of which he offered to loan me. At first I was reluctant to accept his offer, because his statements regarding the book seemed incredible; but as I was willing to try anything in order to get well, I said I would read it, although I did not have any faith in it. Inside of six weeks, however, the benefits derived were so noticeable that I asked this Scientist to buy me a copy of Science and Health. I continued to read, and for two years I have had neither cough nor hemorrhages.

It is with thankfulness to God, with deep gratitude also to Mrs. Eddy for this wonderful truth, that I send this testimony, trusting that it may be read by some one who is in like bondage.—F. H. Richer, Ingram, Wis.
