I was very much in need of help when Christian Science...
I was very much in need of help when Christian Science found me in December, 1910. I had a great many things to trouble me; among others my little boy had a throat disease and was ordered removed to the isolation hospital by the doctors, who could not give me very much encouragement because of the weakened condition of his heart. Another trial was that my financial supply was entirely exhausted. I had worried a great deal and was very much distressed, and though my friends tried to console me, they had only sympathy to offer.
Finally Christian Science was presented to me, and I accepted it for myself and my little boy. I received treatment that night about nine o'clock, and three hours later such a sweet sense of peace came over me that I fell asleep, to awake next morning healed of what had seemed so terrible to me. I called up the isolation hospital next evening, and they reported the child's throat was entirely clear and said his heart was much stronger; so we soon had him home with us again, well and happy. Another time he had an eruption on his check which spread rapidly, and again I resorted to the same treatment and the child was healed. I was also able to secure steady employment and my financial problem was met. I am indeed very grateful for this healing truth which has come into my home, and I have been helped through a great many difficulties by Christian Science.
