The Lectures

In introducing William R. Rathvon, who lectured on Christian Science under the auspices of First and Second Churches, Frederick D. Hall said in part:—

Christian Science is a religion of love; it is a demonstrable religion, to which the lives of thousands and tens of thousands of its adherents are daily testifying. It heals, it binds up the broken-hearted, it sets the captive free—free from the bondage of sin, disease, and death. Jesus said, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." There is no time limitation, no indefinite waiting for the fulfilment of this promise, it follows as a natural consequence upon our realization of the truth; and I take pleasure in announcing the presence of one in our midst who will expound this great truth as taught by the Galilean Prophet over nineteen hundred years ago, and revealed to this age by Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science.—Correspondence.
