My brother, who lives in Oberreichenbach, not far from Frankfort-on-the-Main, was healed of a very serious lung trouble through reading Der Herold der Christian Science and having a few explanations given him on the subject of Christian Science. In the winter of 1910 he became very ill and was unable to attend to his work. He had been bedridden for several months when Christian Science was brought to his attention. Of the two physicians consulted, the second one, a Frankfort man, had diagnosed the case as pulmonary disease, while the village physician said that my brother would die within a few months unless he were taken to a sanitarium; but after hearing of Christian Science my brother asked for the Herold. A few explanations were given him on the subject, and he then began to read and look up the Bible passages indicated in the Lesson-Sermons and ponder over them. After a few months he was healed, and in the autumn had recovered the strength necessary to do labor in the fields. When examined by his former physician, the latter declared that his lungs were in a perfectly sound condition.

My mother was greatly rejoiced over my brother's recovery, and consequently looked into Christian Science. She laid aside a truss which she had worn for twenty-eight years, and was able to do very heavy work without experiencing any inconvenience. Our whole family has been blessed, and we are all indeed thankful for the many benefits received through this great truth.
