It is with a heart overflowing with love and thankfulness to God, and gratitude to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for her unselfish life and her devotion to the cause which has been and is such a help to mankind, that I send this testimony. I have been healed of severe nervous conditions and throat trouble of long standing; also of two diseases pronounced incurable by one of the best physicians in Los Angeles, namely, abnormal growths and a disease of the bladder in its worst stage. I was healed of the latter in one treatment. I have also witnessed many other wonderful cures in our own family as well as among those we know.

My husband was healed of the drink habit, to which he had been a victim for nearly twenty years. This had caused his family and himself untold suffering, loss of self-respect, and business trouble. His healing was most remarkable, not only because of the depth to which he had sunk, but because so many of his old associates turned about and followed his example. This healing took place three years ago, and since that time he has had no desire, whatsoever, for alcoholic drink, and is healthy, happy, and prosperous. A little child in our family would surely have passed on had it not been for Christian Science; also a woman in our employ was healed of a severe attack of apoplexy after her doctor had told her he could do no more—that she was beyond his help.

Mere words cannot express what this truth means to us, and I can only say daily, Thanks be to God, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion over sin, sickness, and death.
