For three years, from 1905 to 1908, I was under treatment with four of the ablest physicians of this county for a most distressing disease of the stomach, with frequent attacks of vomiting, also pain in the eyes and head. I was in fact disabled from working on my ranch and had to employ laborers, until one day, when much discouraged by the expense which brought me no benefit under medical treatment, I met an insurance agent, who gave me his experience with doctors and Christian Science. By the latter he had been cured of rheumatism, from which he had suffered for many years and during that time had spent thousands of dollars without relief. I was willing to try the experiment, and took absent treatment from a practitioner in Santa Barbara. After two weeks I was entirely cured, and I am now, at sixty-one years of age, hardy and strong, and attend to my own work.
