With a heart full of love and gratitude to God I send...

With a heart full of love and gratitude to God I send this testimony, hoping it may be a help to others. I did not take up the study of Christian Science for physical healing, but it was only another of the promises fulfilled, "Blessed are they that do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled." Since childhood I have wanted that truth of which Jesus spoke when he said it would make us free. It has freed me from mental depression, and I can say with the psalmist, "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits," for they are indeed many. At the birth of my little daughter I was wonderfully helped. She is now two years old and is a healthy child. Christian Science has been our only physician for four and a half years, and it has brought us through several trying experiences, one being an attack of small-pox. We were then in a small town, strangers there, and were the only Scientists so far as we knew; but with the help of a practitioner my little daughter was sick only one day, and there were no scars left.

For these and many other blessings I am truly thankful, but the understanding of God and our relation to Him is far more to me. My prayer is that my life may prove my gratitude to God, to Christ Jesus the Wayshower, also to dear Mrs. Eddy, who has brought anew the message of "on earth peace, good will toward men."
