We wish to express our gratitude to God for what Christian Science...

We wish to express our gratitude to God for what Christian Science has done for us. Our little daughter fell from a swing, and was rendered unconscious for seven hours. She suffered untold agony, and we thought she could not live, our family doctor having said that the chances were all against her. We then consented to call a Christian Science practitioner, to see if God would through her labors give our child relief. After she came and treated the little girl for an hour or two the child went to sleep and slept all night, and had no pain after this. The doctor had said that her skull was fractured, besides other serious injuries, and that if she lived she would not know anything until an operation was performed; but all the medical treatment she had was a tablet dropped on her tongue and allowed to dissolve. She only took two or three doses all told, and no operation was performed. After the Christian Science practitioner had treated her for three days she was restored to health and her right mind, and the cure has been permanent.

After she was healed, the doctor was asked if she had really been hurt as badly as he thought, and he said it was even worse. She has, however, been restored to us, and is well; so we feel like giving God the glory for what has been done for us through the understanding of Christian Science.
