I feel it is time I should testify to what Christian Science has done for me. In 1903 I had my face badly burned. I used simple remedies, but got no relief. It became very painful, turned almost black, and I could not bear to have anything touch it or to be near a fire, on account of the burning sensation. I then began to take treatments in Christian Science, and in a few days the pain and burning began to leave. It had seemed to be developing in a malignant form, but all this entirely disappeared, scarcely leaving a scar. I had been afflicted with rheumatism more than thrity-five years, also with severe headaches from childhood. These had been treated by several doctors, but I did not get any relief, and there were many things I could not eat without experiencing pain. But all these ills left me after the second treatment in Christian Science. I never knew just when they left me, but they never returned.

I bought a copy of Science and Health, and I also read the Christian Science literature and studied the Lesson-Sermon daily. I had been a reader of the Bible from childhood, but never got the understanding that was satisfactory until I began to read Science and Health. The understanding I have received from the Bible and Science and Health is the greatest blessing of all. I am thankful to God for all the good that has come to me, also to dear Mrs. Eddy for this revelation of the healing truth.
