It is with a great sense of gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me that I give this testimony. I had been a sufferer from liver, kidney, and bowel disorders since infancy, these being supposedly hereditary. I also suffered greatly from headaches three to four times a week. Life was indeed a burden from the health standpoint, and there was no outlook for relief from medicine, as I had tried so many remedies with only temporary gain. I was a nervous wreck when, about three years ago, I visited a Christian Science practitioner by the advice of a friend. I knew nothing about Christian Science, but we talked matters over and she loaned me a copy of Science and Health, which she asked me to read. She agreed to give me treatment for a week, but I think one treatment did the work. My cure was instantaneous, and I have never taken a dose of medicine since, nor have I had the least return of my old troubles. I am enjoying perfect health for the first time in my life.
At the time of this great demonstration of the power of Truth, I was not a member of any church, but had been tossed about upon the sea of doubt and fear for a number of years, always looking for some religion that would satisfy; but I never found it until I began to read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," in connection with the Bible. What a different light is thrown upon the Bible teachings by Christian Science! Besides all these blessings, the truth has helped me in many other ways. It has cured me of the fear and worry habits, and given me a God I can trust at all times. I am deeply grateful to God for all these blessings, and also to Mrs. Eddy for unfolding this great truth. I am studying diligently to get a fuller understanding of this practical religion.
Mrs. Celia M. Webb, Douglas, Ariz.
