There is a growing sentiment upon the part of the public, and an awakening to indisputable facts, which will in the future preclude the possibility of placing upon our statute-books coercive, restrictive, and arbitrary laws which are introduced simply for the purpose of favoring one class of medical practitioners at the expense of all the rest and which are to the detriment of the general public. Christian Scientists have no quarrel with physicians of any school. Most of those who have accepted the Christian Science faith were strong believers in materia medica prior to the time when they arrived at the point where it failed to help them any longer. Who shall say that there shall be legislative enactment and the "evoking" of so-called law which shall deprive these people of their God-given right to turn to Him in their last extremity, and to be healed of their disease, as thousands of well-authenticated cases attest they may be healed?
