I feel deeply grateful to our heavenly Father, and also to our dear Leader, who has shown us the way out of sin, sickness, and sorrow, to health and happiness. I came into Christian Science about five years ago. I was then a physical wreck, having what the doctor called a spinal disease. I tried material remedies until the doctor said he would not give me any more, and in my distress I cried out day and night. I then got another doctor, and also a nurse, who took care of me by night. When she left, she took Christian Science treatment, and after a few weeks she came and told me what it had done for her and advised me to try the same.

In January, 1906, I made up my mind to try Christian Science; and from that day I laid aside all material remedies and got a practitioner to give me treatment. I have been reading and proving for myself the truth that "divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need" (Science and Health, p. 494). The result is that one ailment after another has left me. The truth has indeed made me free. I feel that the greatest blessing I have received is the spiritual uplift, and that calm and glorious trust in God which I am learning to have. I shall endeavor to prove my gratitude to our blessed Master, and to Mrs. Eddy, his willing disciple, by spending the future in the service of divine Love, in doing good along the way.
