Six years ago I became interested in Christian Science, when I was told that it is a religion of Truth and Love. This was different from what I had heard of any other religion, and as I pondered the meaning of these words, I thought I would like to know something of it. I had drifted away from Judaism, and did not own a Bible, but got one about the same time I procured a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." I studied these two books at every possible moment, hungering for Truth; and it is needless to say that I have found Christian Science to be all that it was represented. The spiritual uplift means far more to me than the physical healing, and yet I am very glad for what Science has meant to my little girl, five and a half years old, and to myself, in the overcoming of fevers, earache, and numerous other diseases. While visiting my parents in a country town where there were no other Christian Scientists, my little girl had an attack of illness and it seemed best to wire for treatment for her, as she had very high fever and other discordant conditions. For four days the fever was in evidence; then it vanished, and normal activity of the bowels was restored. For seven days she took no food, but on the seventh day she asked for food and enjoyed it. This healing meant very much to us and we are indeed grateful for it.
I am deeply grateful to God, and to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for what this truth has done and is doing for me and for my dear ones.
Mrs. Bernyce H. Unger, Monroe, La.
