I wish to express my love and gratitude to God for...
I wish to express my love and gratitude to God for Christian Science. Previous to becoming interested in this truth I was a great sufferer from what the physician called nervous and spinal trouble. He said the only help for me was through an operation, but that I would only be relieved and not cured unless I went through another operation. While suffering untold agony, a voice spoke to me as if an angel had brought the message, telling me of Christian Science, and I turned to a practitioner for help. After the first treatment the trouble grew less, and the most severe symptoms of disease vanished in about four or five weeks. I felt quite a different person and was full of hope because of the boundless good of every sort which had been revealed to me. Here was the truth of which I had been so sorely in need.
I am so entirely changed, both in appearance and temperament, that when I compare the present with the time when I was almost helpless, words are inadequate to express the joy that comes into my consciousness. I am thankful to God, and to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, through whom this blessed truth has been revealed to mankind. My great desire is so to live that I may be worthy the name of Christian Scientist.—Mrs. Nellie Berg, Monroe, Mich.
