Christian Science lays no claim to mysticism; on the contrary, its mission is to get rid of mystery, to get rid of the supernatural, and to show men the simplicity of the truth, the beauty of holiness, the naturalness of purity, of health, of good; to break down the sense of separation between God and man. He who knew more about God than did any other that ever walked this earth, called Him by the endearing name of Father. "I ascend unto my Father, and your Father," he said; and he called himself the Son. St. Paul tells us in Galatians that it pleased God to reveal His Son in him. This Son Christian Science explains to be the real nature of man, that which was and is and ever will be the image and likeness of God; and it proceeds to show how this Son may be revealed in each one of us, how the truth can separate the false thoughts in our consciousness from the true, that which is of the earth from the child of God. "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." This method, we submit, is scientific and Christian.
