A little over six years ago, life to me was not worth living. I had suffered from childhood, and knew not what it meant to be happy. I was seeking God, but did not know where or how to find Him. I went to New York city, and while attending a musicale I saw one whose light was not hid under a bushel. I inquired who she was, and was told she was a Christian Scientist. I made her acquaintance, and through her was led to investigate Christian Science and to take treatments. I was healed in a very short time of severe nervous trouble, stomach and bowel disorders, and gall-stones, also of internal difficulties, for which I had had an operation but received no benefit. I had worn glasses for over ten years, had an operation on one eye, and had constant pain in my eyes and head for a year and a half. Nevertheless I laid off my glasses after the first treatment in Christian Science, and had no more pain, nor have I needed glasses since.

At first the physical healing seemed so wonderful that I felt it was the main thing, but I soon learned it was as nothing compared to the spiritual and moral healing. I have also been wonderfully helped financially. The change in my life has been so great that it would be impossible for me to tell all that has taken place. I was indeed brought up out of the land of Egypt, out of darkness into light. Can any one wonder that my heart is full of love and gratitude for our dear Leader, who has shown me how to find God. This I have learned through the daily study of the text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," God's priceless gift to mankind in this age.

My daily prayer is that I may live so as to prove the allness of God and the nothingness of evil, and be able to show others how to find God. I am very grateful for class instruction and for all that has helped me in my journey from sense to Soul. I am also grateful for the Sentinel, Journal, and Monitor, as the help I gain from this literature enables me to overcome sin and sickness.
