MAN AS REFLECTION
In Christian Science we learn that there is one Principle and one idea; one cause, and one creation as effect of this cause; that God, good, is Principle or cause, and that the universe and man are the idea or creation of Spirit, Life, Truth, Love, Mind. We also learn that man and the universe are reflections of God,—the "I AM,"—and that this reflection is man as God's idea, not physique.
As the "I AM" was, is, and will be the same forever, man as God's reflection was, is, and will be the same forever, because he reflects God. We therefore see that as the real man can only express or reflect what God is, he must ever reflect Life, Love, Truth, intelligence, etc., for the reflection must always give back the original. Reflecting Life, man cannot die; reflecting Truth, he cannot err; reflecting Love, he cannot hate, but must see in his brother God's image. Reflecting intelligence, he understands and cannot misunderstand, nor can he be misunderstood.
For the real man there is neither transformation, regeneration, nor resurrection. Formed by his Maker, he cannot be transformed into another being, for as God is one and the same throughout eternity, His ideas are as eternal as He is, therefore unchangeable. Nor can this man be regenerated, for he is created by God, he is an idea of divine Principle. He is, because his creator is. He therefore needs no resurrection, for he knows no sin, no death, being the offspring of good, in which there is no evil. He is forever intact, the child of the Father-Mother God, reflecting the fatherhood and motherhood of God.
