FROM OUR EXCHANGES
[Watchman.]
The church of this twentieth century needs a more profound and pervading assimilation of the peaceful spirit of Jesus. Before it is fully fitted to bear his name, it must come to sing, with the spirit and the understanding also, the song the angels sang at his birth. Before it can complete the work which he began, and which he left to his church to finish, it must be saturated with this world peace. When the kingdoms of this world shall become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, the glorious victory will be won by a united host of God, in peace and good will bearing throughout the world the banner of the Prince of Peace.
[Rev. John Hunter, D.D., in Universalist Leader.]
