I have known about Christian Science for several years, and for the past two years I have studied its teachings closely. I can hardly imagine what would have become of me, had Christian Science not come to me, revealing the truth about God and man. It has lifted me out of an aimless, unhappy, and sickly life, without God, to the wonderful recognition of man's vital oneness with eternal Spirit; and this has led me to health and activity.
On the way thereto I have gone through some hard battles with the mortal sense of things and with inharmonious conditions, but I was able to overcome them, because divine Love was guiding me. A kind practitioner helped me to get over many difficulties, and this cleared my vision for the discernment of the truth. Never before had I felt that there was an unselfish, compassionate love which would meet my heart's desire and bring me happiness, but now I have found it in such measure that at times I am overwhelmed. Without this wonderful experience I would not yet have recognized that there is such a thing as divine Love. Through Christian Science treatment I was helped to overcome a phase of error which had weighed on my mind during all the years previous. It was with a feeling of deep gratitude that I realized the importance of Christian Science, when I became aware that I was free from this sense of wrong-doing. I have been improved morally. mentally, and physically through Christian Science.
A short time ago, when my father became very seriously ill, and his illness was pronounced most dangerous by the physician in attendance, the power of Truth was visibly manifest, the thought being held for him, although without special treatment, that in God all life is harmonious, and in Him there is no death. The illness lasted one week only, and my father attended to his professional duties after three weeks, to the great astonishment of the physician.
