We have recently passed through an experience that gave me an added proof of the omnipotence of God. Our only child, a boy of eight years, while at play barefooted, jumped upon an old iron rake, one prong passing through the ball of the foot and coming out on top. The child came into the house, and when I saw what the trouble was, I went quickly to the telephone and asked help of a Christian Science practitioner. My fear seemed to know no bounds, for I myself has passed through three months of extreme suffering from poisoning, supposedly caused by stepping upon a nail, a few years prior to my knowledge of Christian Science. The healing of the child's foot was most wonderful. He never once complained of its hurting him, lost no sleep at night, and just one week after was out at play, running, jumping, etc., as if nothing had happened.

Words fail to express my thankfulness to God, and my heart goes out with more gratitude than ever before to our brave, dauntless Leader, whose life of consecration, purity, and surpassing love for mankind has enabled us to experience this wonderful demonstration of God's power, as well as past blessings, through Christian Science.
