It is surely my duty to give some expression of gratitude...

It is surely my duty to give some expression of gratitude for the multitude of good things I enjoy, the result of putting into practice the teachings of Christian Science. Is it not indeed a great demonstration to have the comfort of knowing "in whom I have believed," no longer to live day after day in a nebulous state, halting between two opinions, with the balance of power sometimes apparently on the side of good, sometimes the reverse?

Much physical relief has come to me, but I am so glad to know increasingly that best of all is the assurance that we have a real practical rule and guide by which all our problems are solved, that we can begin to live up to our privileges as children of a loving Father, heirs to nothing but absolute good; that no evil shall come nigh our dwelling, and that we may "rejoice in the Lord alway." Words poorly express our deepest feelings, but to neglect making use of them as we may, is to shirk one of our duties. Our lives are the best testimony, it is our deeds that really prove our sincerity.—Mary Blanche Winser, Kaweah, Cal.
