It gives me great pleasure to tell of the blessings I have...
It gives me great pleasure to tell of the blessings I have received through Christian Science. I had been suffering two years from a malady which the doctors did not seem to be able to cure. It was thought that I should have to leave the country, as the climate was too hot for me. I did not want to leave, but did not know what else to do. It was at this time (early in 1908) that a kind friend told me about Christian Science. I lost no time, but went that same week to see a practitioner. Within two weeks I was as well as I am today. This was some eight months ago, and not only did the malady referred to pass away, but a stomach disorder, from which I had suffered for many years, also disappeared, and I am able to eat anything which is put before me and feel no ill effects therefrom.
At first the physical healing seemed to me to be everything, but I soon began to see that it was the least part of the blessings I was receiving. The wonderful joy which has come to me through the study of Christian Science is more than I can express in words. Neither can I tell how grateful I am to those who have helped me, and especially to Mrs. Eddy; but, as we read in Science and Health, "Action expresses more gratitude than speech" (p. 3). I pray that I may not be found wanting and that I may be ready to help others as I have been helped.
