It is over three years since I took up the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. It was not sickness that brought me to Christian Science; it was more a desire for truth and a better understanding of God and His creation. I had been brought up in a Christian family, was a member of a church for many years, and always tried to associate with Christian people, but I never could say I was satisfied. The question, What is God, and who am I? was never answered. In my search for an answer I investigated in different directions, but year after years passed by without any result.

When Christian Science was brought to my attention, and I had studied for a few days, I was convinced that I had finally found that for which I was looking. Science and Health was a great revelation to me, as it gave me more information about God and His creation than I ever expected to find in my earthly life. I am learning to understand what God is, also what man is, and what Christ Jesus meant when he said: "The kingdom of heaven is within you," and "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." Old beliefs are passing away, and all is becoming new; today I am satisfied. To search for more truth and a better understanding is sweet work, and I am not discouraged when progress sometimes seems slow. We cannot leap into Christian Science, we have to go step by step.

I am trying to be grateful for what I have gained thus far. I am satisfied to know that God's storehouse is open for me, and when I look back to where I started I can see how I came out of darkness into the light. In Christian Science I have not only found an answer to all my questions, but I have found a practical religion.
