It is now nine years since I first became interested in Christian Science. Unlike many others of whom I know, I did not come to it for the healing, but for spiritual help and guidance. I was advised to investigate other religious beliefs, which I did to please some members of the family, but through this the truth of Christian Science was proved to me. I was taken with a physical trouble to which I had been a victim several years before. Still I did not yield for some time, till in desperation I gave up the study of everything else and turned to Christian Science, knowing that there was nothing else for me, as from previous experience I had found that doctors and medicine could do but little for me. I was not healed at once, indeed my healing was very slow; but for this I have been grateful and acknowledge that divine wisdom was guiding, for in no other way would I have held to Truth and progressed in the understanding of Christian Science as I did.

We are told that man's extremity is God's opportunity, and that His strength is made perfect in our weakness. It proved to be so in this case. Only through utter reliance on God was I able in many other instances to see and demonstrate the power of Truth. I feel that I cannot be grateful enough that there was one who was spiritually minded enough to receive this message of Life and Truth for the benefit of mankind. We can best show our gratitude by our willingness to follow our dear Leader in the Christ-way, and my daily prayer is that I may so live as to bring at least a little of this hope and cheer and strength to others.—Mrs. Birdie Lee, Provo, Utah.

Looking back over the years since I came to know Christian Science, one demonstration stands out with greater clearness than any other, because a great fear was overcome in a short time with a slight knowledge of Truth. It was by clinging to and declaring the little I did know, that the work was done.
