Divine Love has healed me of many physical ailments,...

Divine Love has healed me of many physical ailments, and of one pronounced an organic trouble, for which the best medical skill could do no more. I had been told that I would be an invalid the remainder of my days, and I was therefore ready and receptive for anything that would relieve my suffering. I had often asked why, if God could heal sin, could He not heal sickness. I turned to God as my physician and was healed, I knew very little then of Christian Science, but at the time of my dire distress I read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." After the healing, not realizing that I should keep on working and learning the truth about God,—that He is all powerful and ever present,—I found myself in a very discordant condition, but Truth led me to a Christian Science Wednesday evening meeting. I kept feeling more and more of a spiritual uplift, each time I attended the services; I was willing to give up any social engagement for these meetings, which afforded me far more pleasure. As I gained in spiritual understanding the discordant condition left me, and it was followed by that peace which passes all human understanding and that sense of Truth which makes free.

Through the study of Christian Science, my belief that God is watching me, to punish me for every mistake I make, has been changed to an understanding of Him as everpresent Love, as a God who is all good. I am realizing more and more of the truth of Paul's teaching, "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." I have learned from experience, that if I always entertain only kind, good, right thoughts for everything and everybody, and obey the First Commandment, the kingdom of God is right here, and my cup is full and running over.

With the practical understanding I have of Jesus' teaching, which I have gained through the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, I have helped others to see the truth of Christian Science, which has given me unbounded blessings; and my prayer is to be able to show my gratitude in every thought, word, and deed.—Dora M. Klepfer, Indianapolis, Ind.
