I would like to express my gratitude to God for the benefits I have received through Christian Science, as given to us in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." I was a total wreck physically when, in September, 1907, I called on a Christian Science practitioner for help, having been given up by several doctors as incurable. I had suffered for several years with what were said to be stomach, liver, and bowel ailments. I was almost without hope, and it was only as a last resort that I decided to try Christian Science. I was better of the intestinal disorders from the first treatment, and I have also demonstrated the truth for my eyes so that I have laid aside glasses, which I had worn for several years, and can read even small print.

I have also had several demonstrations in my family and for neighbors, for which I thank God, and also our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy. Although I am the only Scientist here, so far as I know, and have some opposition to contend with, yet I know that Truth will prevail, for the Master said, "Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world."—James Jaynes, Sidney, Mich.

Christian Science was presented to me a little over five years ago by a perfect stranger, who told me of this wonderful truth which heals all disease and fills our consciousness with love to God and to all mankind. I had then been suffering for years with a complication of diseases. I had employed different doctors, and followed their directions faithfully, but had received no permanent relief; indeed different doctors had told me that I would never be well again. So, when this truth was explained to me, I was ready to receive it, and the stranger kindly sent a practitioner to see me, who gave me treatment. There was a great improvement in my condition right away, and in a few weeks I was restored to health.
