I feel it my duty to acknowledge what Christian Science...

I feel it my duty to acknowledge what Christian Science has done for me, as I had suffered nearly all my life with stomach trouble, and although I had medical treatment for years, I received no relief until I came into Christian Science.

In July, 1908, I was taken seriously ill, and a physician was called who gave me a thorough examination. He pronounced the case appendicitis, and also stated that I had a complication of diseases which had become chronic. He did not give me any encouragement that I would ever get well, but said that an operation would be necessary right away. Instead of this we sent for a Christian Science practitioner. When she arrived in the evening she gave me treatment, and by morning vomiting had ceased. By the second day normal action had been established, and in two weeks' time I was entirely free from that trouble. The chronic ailment is also gradually disappearing.

In October of the same year my youngest son, now eight years old, was also healed of appendicitis in less than two weeks' treatment. I know that I owe my life to Christian Science, and I cannot express in words how grateful I am to God for this truth, and to Mrs. Eddy for giving us this spiritual understanding.
