While reading the current issue of the Journal, wherein I found a great many helpful passages, the thought came to me, Why not write your testimony now? Paul said, "Now is the accepted time." My delay in not writing a testimony before this is not because I have not had demonstrations of the truth, for I have been healed of many ills,—fever, chills, ivy-poisoning, neuralgic and spinal difficulty, and other ills of the human flesh. My desire is very great to advance in Science, and I fully comprehend that we must live the truth,—put into practice what we know.

I can say that I have never for a moment regretted my acceptance of Christian Science, and I want to encourage others to accept the truth that makes free. At present I am the only Scientist in Osgood, but that does not bar me from studying the Lesson-Sermons, also Mrs. Eddy's writings, besides the Sentinel and Journal. The lectures and articles written on Science subjects by competent Scientists are much appreciated, and are found to be great helps. The Scripture teaching has become much plainer; it is an inspiration to study it, and I gain the knowledge for which I have long sought. Christian Science truly reveals the Comforter.

Rightly to appreciate Mrs. Eddy is to follow her teachings. I hope that my example may encourage others to accept her teachings, and to comprehend more fully what it means to "love thy neighbor as thyself."
