For a number of years I was afflicted, suffering a great deal with what the doctor called chronic diseases, such as cough, headaches, and a very bad leg and foot. At times I had to use crutches, and often I was unable to sleep because of the pain. The doctors said there was no cure for such a condition. My husband wrote to a Christian Science practitioner, who gave me absent treatment, and I was immediately healed. Some eight years ago one of our boys was healed of a very bad case of eye trouble, after years of medical treatment, having been in a hospital at one time. In less than two weeks he was healed through Christian Science, and the disease has never returned. Two of our boys were sick last winter and were healed in a few days by absent treatment. After my own healing my little girl said it seemed so good not to have mamma sick, and to hear her sing. We are taught to sing praises to God for His goodness.

Words can never express fully my love and thankfulness to God for this healing power, and to Mrs. Eddy for our text-book, Science and Health, which is such a help to us in understanding the Bible. We meet with some trials on the way, but God's is sufficient to carry us through, and we have so many things to be thankful for. Occasionally we drive over to Alma to the Christian Science service, and although it is a distance of twenty miles, we feel wonderfully repaid. My earnest desire is that we may be the means of bringing many others to this glorious light of liberty which is in Christ Jesus.
