I desire to express my gratitude for Christian Science and what it has done for me. It was through the healing of two of my best friends that my attention was first called to this Science. I had for nearly a year been under the doctor's care for a very bad case of stomach disorder, dieting rigidly and taking all manner of drugs. From all this I received no benefit, but gradually grew weaker, until my friends began to wonder how much longer I would be able to hold out. About this time the second one of my friends, who was even worse off than myself, found relief and was eventually cured by Christian Science. Then the question came to me, If they can be cured, why not I? Immediately I called upon my friend's practitioner, with the result that I was healed of this complaint in a few treatments. While I continued to take treatment for about ten days, yet I was practically cured with the first treatment, as that evening I ate a hearty meal and felt no bad results from it. Prior to this time, even my plain diet had caused me a great deal of suffering. I was also, at the same time, cured of other weaknesses from which I had suffered for years. I had been able to walk but a few blocks at a time without suffering for it afterward. Now I can walk any reasonable distance and feel no bad effects from it.

I am truly thankful to God for the physical healing, and also for the new understanding that I am daily receiving from His Word. I am also grateful to Mrs. Eddy for her patient and persistent life of study and work, which has revealed to the world this great truth, whose acceptance leads to life eternal.
