Twelve years ago I was told by a physician that I must go to a hospital for the removal of an internal growth. I did so, and after three weeks of preparation I was put upon the operating-table. After the incision had been made, the doctors pronounced the growth malignant, and said it had advanced beyond the possibility of removal. My husband was told I could not possibly live more than six months—probably not so long—and that nothing could be done for me. I was utterly helpless at this time. I then turned to Christian Science. An attendant from the hospital carried me in his arms to the home of the Christian Science practitioner. I was under treatment about a year, since which time I have never been in bed one day from illness, although I have had treatment several times for minor troubles. I am indeed thankful to God, and to Mrs. Eddy, for the spiritual and physical help I have received.—Mrs. Alice R. Carter, Ashland, Ore.
