It is with a heart full of gratitude that I send these lines

It is with a heart full of gratitude that I send these lines. When I first heard of Christian Science I was a discontented and hopeless sufferer, but, thanks to God, and to His Christ, and withal to our Leader, who has shown us the way, I have been lifted out of these conditions, and today, as I look back over the past fifteen years, they have been indeed worth living. In that time I have used no material remedies, with the exception that when I first began to work for myself I used to drink lemonade for biliousness, but I soon found that I must give up all false gods. I have been healed of headaches, from which I had suffered for many years, until I had wished that I might die and be rid of them. I was also healed of trouble with my feet, which had been frosted when I was five years old, so that I could not wear an ordinary shoe without great suffering. I have also been healed of many other ailments, but to me the overcoming of fault-finding is the greatest healing of all. I found fault with almost everything, but I thank God for the almost complete overcoming of this habit. I find each day that the tendency is growing less, and the sense of fear has been almost entirely obliterated, although I used to be afraid of almost everything.

For the release from all this bondage I am indeed thankful to God, and also to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy. I am now at work in the Master's vineyard, and have had many beautiful demonstrations over almost every kind of disease. In all these years I have proved beyond a doubt that God does supply all our needs; if we go to Him in the right way, and my prayer is that I may so live this truth each day that I may prove it to my brother man.
