At my first reading of Science and Health, in my enthusiasm over its wonderful truths, I underlined the first chapters thus, "Bravo, Mrs. Eddy!" Shortly after this my preparation for a medical college was discontinued and I asked for Christian Science treatment. In but a few days I was relieved of a catarrhal trouble, and later there followed the unconscious healing of a stomach and bowel trouble. Besides this came my spiritual regeneration, which was no less than marvelous; I was made holier, happier, and more active. I soon became a student of Christian Science, and the result of my ardent discipleship was blessed in the privilege of witnessing the disappearance of many diseases in the case of others. From day to day gratitude took on a higher meaning, but at this time it appears to me, clearer than ever, that in order to demonstrate the Christ more fully I must forsake all worldliness and "grow in grace," as St. Peter tells us.

My devotion to our beloved Leader, and to the Principle she was spiritually qualified to discover, is inexpressible. I am also thankful for all the activities which she has established, and which were instrumental in leading me to this Science. I trust that many in Russia, my native land, may come to know of the healing power of Truth.
