I wish to express my gratitude for the many blessings...
I wish to express my gratitude for the many blessings received in Christian Science. About five years ago my right arm became almost useless from a nervous trouble. I could get no sleep or rest at night, the pain being so intense as to be almost unbearable. I was unable even to dress myself properly. While much interested in Christian Science, yet I doubted if this trouble could be healed by it, and so I tried all kinds of material remedies, but got worse instead of better. I finally asked for and received treatment in Christian Science. After the first treatment I slept at night without pain, and other ailments, which I had not even mentioned to the practitioner, disappeared before the arm was healed. The healing of the arm was not rapid (I say this because there may be others who get discouraged when the healing seems to be slow), but I have always been thankful that it was so, for during that time I got a better, clearer understanding of God than ever before, and our revered Leader says, "Emerge gently from matter into Spirit" (Science and Health, p. 485). I have had so many proofs of the power of God, that I can never cease to be grateful for the truth as revealed in Christian Science.—Mrs. Annie Marshall, Duluth, Minn.
