It is the joy and not the gloom of life which God wishes to spread over the world. His day is a day of triumphs, a day of brightness, of cheer, if only we would read under the surface of the message He has sent to us through the mouths of His prophets. Everything in the universe is attuned to minister to the happiness of man. The prophets bear witness to the fact of God's absorbing personal interest in everybody. There would be no neurasthenia nor nervous diseases if only we could comprehend and grasp the all-pervading rest of God. If we would realize His absolute control of us and our lives, our worries would cease, for we would know how futile they are.
