For years I was a searcher after the truth, yet never was satisfied that I had found it until the spring of 1905, when I was invited by friends to attend a service in First Church of Christ, New York city. I entered this church with a feeling somewhat curious and critical, but I came out of it a changed man. It was Communion Sunday, and when that congregation knelt in silent prayer I was convinced that this was the truth for which I had been so long and earnestly seeking. From that hour I have never doubted, and I have never ceased to thank God for leading me into this glorious truth, which has been so wonderfully revealed to this age through our Leader.

Before coming to Christian Science I was continually taking medicine for stomach and heart trouble, but after reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, all my ailments vanished. Though I came to Christian Science for the spiritual uplifting alone, I was led last fall, when a very severe trouble of the ear made itself manifest, to test it for physical healing. Not only was this trouble distressingly painful, but I found myself fast becoming very deaf. I tried to help myself, but the sense of fear and pain was great, and I could not seem to realize for myself the healing power of Truth. But divine Love again opened the way. I sought help through a little child of God in New Haven, who always has hold of the Father's hand. One week of absent treatment did the work for me. I was not only healed of the pain and deafness in my ear, but the tobacco habit, to which I had been addicted for many years, left me during the week's treatment, and I found myself a free man morally and physically at the advanced age of seventy-eight years.

Is it any wonder that we who have been redeemed through this healing truth, should long to have others share with us the joy and happiness which an understanding of Christian Science brings? It is my great desire so to live that I may bring others into this blessed truth which liberates mankind from all forms of error.
