With a heart overflowing with love and gratitude I testify to what God has done for me through Christian Science. I attended my first Christian Science service, which was a testimony meeting, more than eleven years ago. I was delighted with the service, and have continued to go ever since. I was a firm believer in the healing, as I had been an invalid for eight years, and in 1883 had been instantaneously healed of an ailment through faith and trust in God. I was a member of an orthodox church fifteen years, but joined another church in which I remained four and a half years. I came from that to the Christian Science church, and at the first service I found a people who could understand me and the truth for which I had searched daily for ten years. I know that Christ, Truth, is here now, always was, and always will be.

One of the dear members loaned me a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. I read it through prayerfully, and said, "This is the truth. It was written by inspiration, and is a revelation of Truth." I thanked God, and wanted to meet Mrs. Eddy and thank her for the book. I have since been to her home and looked into her face and heard her loving words, telling me how to love my neighbor as myself, and has given me a wonderful spiritual uplifting. Through my understanding of Christian Science I have been able to overcome many physical ailments for myself and others.

How could I fail to be thankful to God, and to dear Mrs. Eddy for Christian Science—the pearl of great price which the world cannot give nor take away. My daily prayer is expressed in our Leader's hymn, "Shepherd, show me how to go" (Miscellaneous Writings, p. 397).
