It is with deep gratitude to God, and to the dear ones who have so faithfully and patiently helped me, that I desire to tell what Christian Science has done for me. When I came to Christian Science. I was suffering, both physically and mentally, from nervous and spinal trouble. Neither physicians nor medicines had benefited me permanently. I was also treated by a "mental scientist," and seemed to be helped for a time, but soon was in a much worse condition than before. I was discouraged and very miserable indeed. I dared walk but a few blocks at a time, and would sometimes lose the use of my feet when descending stairs, on account of the spinal trouble. Through the advice of a friend I then went to a Christian Science practitioner, and in a few months' time was lifted out of the darkness. From the first treatment my eyes were completely healed and I could read without pain, although previously, for over a year, I had not been able either to read or write, and in a few days I laid off the glasses which an oculist had said I never could go without.

For five years the truth has been my only remedy. It has brought the sunshine of health and happiness to me and to those I love, and is helping me to overcome the inharmonies of mortal thought. In my home I have seen throat and lung trouble, a broken bone, blood-poisoning, and fevers overcome in Christian Science. At one time I was confined to my bed with an attack of rheumatic trouble, so severe that I could not move my arms or help myself in any way, but in twenty-four hours after word was sent to a practitioner I was able to dress myself and walk unassisted. A very serious case of illness was overcome for our dear baby girl. It seemed to me that she was dying, and I was filled with fear; but again the truth of being was demonstrated,—God, good, shown to be supreme. My gratitude is unspeakable for all that was done for us at that time.

I have proved the truth of Love's ever-presence for myself and others many times, for which I am truly thankful. I am more than thankful for the spiritual healing which Christian Science has brought to me, in making me love God and things spiritual. I am more grateful to our dear Leader each day. My desire is to gain a better understanding of her life and work, and that I may have more of the Christ-mind.—Mrs. Willa B. Donelson,Flint, Mich.
