Words fail me when I try to express the gratitude I feel for what Christian Science has done for me. My experience had been very unhappy; it seemed that I had nothing to live for, until one day a lady gave me some Christian Science literature to read and sent me to a practitioner, who worked faithfully to explain the truth to me. Although at first I did not seem to grasp the understanding. I felt it was the truth,—it brought me a peace that I had never had before. For a number of years I had a very severe stomach trouble, which at times seemed almost unbearable. I would get very discouraged, but I now realize that the fault was my own. I looked to personality instead of Principle, but I am very glad to say that this trouble has disappeared. It was destroyed by the understanding that we must look to Principle and not to personality.

My heart is full of love and gratitude to that dear woman, Mrs. Eddy, for what she has done for the world. I am also very grateful for every thought that has helped me to find the truth.
