Although I had seen several friends healed from seemingly...
Although I had seen several friends healed from seemingly incurable diseases through Christian Science, it did not appeal to me. One day, in conversation, a friend told me of his healing from intemperance, the tobacco habit, profanity, and other vices. I then realized that Christian Science healed sin as well as physical troubles. Having worn glasses for many years, I found it impossible to do my daily work without them. Many ineffectual attempts had been made to work without them, but each one had failed. Through a slight understanding of Christian Science I was able to put away my glasses and have not worn them for three years. During this time I have worked constantly under an electric light from eight to six o'clock daily, and often for weeks at a time until ten or eleven o'clock at night, and my eyes have been perfectly well. Through the understanding that God is my strength and source of supply I have been able to accomplish more work, and my salary was raised within two weeks. Through the realization that God alone is my employer, a better position has opened for me. Many other blessings have come into my home, and for all I am grateful to God, and to our Leader.—R. Clinton Loveland, Medford, Mass.
