Words fail when I attempt to express my gratitude...

Words fail when I attempt to express my gratitude for Christian Science. I was almost hopeless—condemned by a specialist of one of the best hospitals in Pittsburg, Pa., to undergo an operation; and while I really did not know what a well day was, I dreaded the surgeon's knife. I suffered from internal trouble, could scarcely walk, and was morbid and miserable. Friends persuaded me to try Christian Science, and I went to the Reading Room in Buffalo, where a kind lady told me that God's child could not suffer or be sick, and that I did not need to have an operation. A great light, a great peace seemed to come to me! The lady told me to call at her home the next day. I supposed I was to be treated then, not knowing anything about absent treatment. By the next day I was so happy and well that I hardly knew myself. When I called on this lady she told me she had taken care of me the day before. Then I realized that I had been wonderfully helped by absent treatment, and in less than a week I was entirely healed. I am indeed grateful for the passing away of all the pain, weariness, unrest, and darkness that seemed to be in my life, very grateful for light, for rest, and peace; grateful to God, and to Mrs. Eddy for Christian Science.
