Editorial in the Richmond (Va.) Leader

Abandonment of the Eddy suit by the plaintiffs determines finally the question of Mrs. Eddy's sanity and capacity. Keen and able lawyers have seen her face to face and subjected her to a close examination. Evidently they are convinced that she is able to manage her own affairs and that her intellect is unclouded. There is some hint in the proceedings that a newspaper is responsible not only for the original stories attacking Mrs. Eddy's sanity, but for the suit and investigation. If this be true, we wish most earnestly that some way could be found to make the newspaper suffer heavily for its indecent enterprise.
