Christian Science does not teach that "the trees, the fields, and the stars above are a delusion." It follows implicitly the teaching of the Bible that God is Spirit, infinite Love, and that He created all things spiritual and perfect, and, therefore, it denies that anything can be material. It denies materiality, not being. All that is is spiritual. None of God's manifestations are material. It is by understanding this that we are brought closer to God, that we "get right with God;" that the healing and regenerating work is accomplished.

Judge L. H. Jones in the December Christian Science Journal says: "Adhering logically and loyally to her premises, Mrs. Eddy reached the conclusion that if God, Spirit, is the source of all things, is ultimate reality or being, then all the phenomena of being, all that really is, must be spiritual and as perfect in its degree as this reality, and that whatever fails to manifest this spiritual perfection and reality cannot have real being; and, since all that appears to us to be wrong with things, all that is temporary, imperfect, sick, sinful, dying, is embraced in a wrong consciousness of life, the way to be rid of such appearances is not by pouring medicine into a shadow, not by doctoring a false, human concept of man, but by purging consciousness of the false and corrupt elements which give such concepts to us."

Christian Science has proven and is proving every day its practical utility and worth, and any sincere seeker for truth, who will study the text-book, can prove for himself that it is the same truth that was taught and practised by Christ Jesus on the shores of Galilee and the hills of Judæa.
