AN ERRONEOUS REPORT CORRECTED

[In the Boston Herald of April 25 there appeared a misrepresentation of the remarks of Hon. John D. Long at the Unitarian Men's Club of Hingham. Governor Long immediately corrected this false report through a letter which appeared in the Herald of April 26 and in an interview published in the Boston Transcript. The report and corrections follow.—Editor.]

At a banquet and smoker of the Unitarian Men's Club of Hingham, ex-Goy. John D. Long took occasion to score Mrs. Mary Baker Eddy and Christian Science. In his opening remarks as presiding officer, Mr. Long said,—

"This gathering represents a certain religious and moral element in the town, and is of much benefit. All churches and church gatherings have much to do with the welfare of the community.
